An update of my older tutorial. Men's hair is really just short hair and the styles can be used for female dolls just as male dolls can have all the same hairstyles that female dolls can, but here are some generic male hairstyles all the same.
Seeing that loads of people find hair hard for guy dolls I decided that would be a good idea for a tutorial. These aren't vey detailed, a lot of it relies on looking at the pictures and shading however you normally do, but they at least give you a few styles and how I'd do them. One of the main problems with guy's hair is that most dollers are girls (call me sexist if you want, but even though I know guy dollers I know far more girls who doll). When we want to know what girl's hair looks like we can just look in a mirror. Not so easy when dolling boys.
This tutorial was made to be suitable to beginners so experienced dollers might find there that I go into too much detail, but they can just ignore me there. I've provided palettes which you can use, or you can make your own.
This tutorial is really old but it seems popular with beginners. There is an updated tutorial for jeans in her "Full Doll Tutorial 2010" which you can find the link for in the Full Doll category.
This tutorial is for a vaguely fancy (read: long) dress. Like with the full doll tutorial, I'm giving more ideas than I'm shading. These aren't props, they're guides, inspiration. The idea is to follow this tutorial as closely or as loosely as you feel you need to.
