"Basemaking is an integral part of dolling, and after you've dolled a while, you might feel compelled to create a base. Many dollers use fancy programs and graphic tablets to create bases, but it's very possible to make a base with just MS Paint and a scanner."
"What can I say, I'm a sucker for full doll tuts. My last one was looking a bit shabby, so I decided to make a new one, but... let's just say I got a bit carried away. My last one had top, jeans, shoes and hair; this one has top, skirt, shoes, socks, armwarmers, hair, hat, necklace and a logo on the t-shirt, just for good measure. I figure you can ignore what you don't want, but it's there if you want it. A couple of times I give you outlines for other things you could do at suchandsuch a step (i.e. I have three tops, I only shade one). These are here to help but not be taken and used on your own dolls."
My last full doll tutorial was done in 2005. 2005! Frankly, it was about time I updated it. This one is a lot smaller than the last one, but each item of clothing seems to have a lot more steps - at least there are a lot of pictures to look at. Tutorial is split into three sections - Jeans, T-Shirt, and Hair.
This tutorial is for a vaguely fancy (read: long) dress. Like with the full doll tutorial, I'm giving more ideas than I'm shading. These aren't props, they're guides, inspiration. The idea is to follow this tutorial as closely or as loosely as you feel you need to.
This tutorial is really old but it seems popular with beginners. There is an updated tutorial for jeans in her "Full Doll Tutorial 2010" which you can find the link for in the Full Doll category.
